Winter Storm produces Significant Coastal Flooding near Boston, Masschusetts
Winter Storm Gail produced severe snow across the North East of the U.S. during last night. Up to 44″ (~3.5ft) was recorded in Binghamton, NY, and surrounding areas. A stretch from Binghamton, the PA border and into Vermont saw this incredibly high snowfall amounts.

However, the storm has also produced very strong easterly winds. This coinciding with high tide for parts of the North East coast, has produced some surface flooding. The following tweet shows significant flooding in Marshfield, MA. Whilst this is somewhat typical for the area, it may combine with effects from earlier snow/ice to produce some disruptive conditions. Keep an eye for high waters in the North East in the coming few hours.
